Privacy Policy

Applies to all iOS applications developed by CROD Apps (rNote, rTacTix, rOld Pilot).

1. Data controller

Data controller: Rifat Ozturk, publishing as CROD Apps.

This policy applies to rNote, rTacTix and rOld Pilot, the applications published on the App Store by CROD Apps ("we", "the developer"). Contact: [email protected].

Our apps are free and contain no ads, in-app purchases or subscriptions. As a result, no data is shared with ad networks or payment providers. Our apps collect anonymous usage statistics, not linked to your identity, to understand how they are used (see sections 2 and 4). We operate no user account system and no server of our own.

2. Data we collect

Our apps do not collect any personal data that is not required for them to function. The categories below apply only if you use the relevant feature:

rNote

  • Notes and reminders: The notes, tasks, lists and settings you create are stored on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, this data is written to your own iCloud account under your Apple Account; we cannot access this content.
  • Calendar and reminders access: For the calendar integration feature, iOS asks you for calendar (and where needed, reminders) permission. When granted, the app reads your events on device and writes the tasks you create into your calendar. Your calendar data is not exported from your device and is never sent to us or to any third party. rNote's other features work without this permission, and you can revoke it at any time under Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars.

rTacTix

  • Game progress and tokens: The tokens you earn, the chapters you complete, your puzzle history and your settings are stored on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, they are also saved to your own iCloud account so they can follow you across devices; we cannot see this data.
  • Online matches and Game Center: Turn-based matches with friends, leaderboards and achievements run on Apple's Game Center. If you are signed in to Game Center, your moves, scores and achievements are sent to Apple and governed by Apple's privacy policy. You can play without Game Center; the two-player mode on one device needs no network connection.
  • Notifications: If you allow them, reminders are scheduled locally on your device; we operate no notification server.
  • Player name and avatar: The name you type and the avatar you choose stay on your device and in your own iCloud save; they are not sent to us. In online matches, the name other players see is your Game Center name.
  • Turning off usage statistics: You can stop the anonymous usage statistics described under “Common to all apps” below at any time by turning off “Share usage data” under Settings › Privacy in the game.

rOld Pilot

  • Game progress: Your progress (level, in-game credits, unlocked aircraft, upgrades, achievements, records) and your choices (pilot name, selected aircraft, theme) are saved on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, they are also stored in your own iCloud account; we cannot see this data. The pilot name you type is used only inside the game and in your own iCloud save.
  • Game Center: If you are signed in to Game Center, your scores and achievements are sent to Apple so they can appear on leaderboards. You can play without it.
  • Turning off usage statistics: You can stop the anonymous usage statistics described under “Common to all apps” below at any time by turning off “Share anonymous usage data” in the game's Settings.
  • Notifications: If you allow them, reminders (for example about the daily mission) are scheduled locally on your device; we operate no notification server.

Common to all apps

  • Anonymous usage statistics: Our apps record anonymous usage events with Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how they are used and to improve them: for example which screens are opened, how a match or a run ends, and which mode or feature is used. Along with these events the service receives an app-instance identifier for this installation, general device information (model, iOS version, language, app version) and an approximate location (country/city level) derived from the IP address. The content of your notes, reminders and calendar events is never included in these statistics. This data is not linked to your identity; advertising identifiers and ad personalisation are switched off. What rTacTix sends: the screens you open; the results of matches, arcade runs, puzzles and online matches; and the rules of an online invitation. What rOld Pilot sends: a run starting and ending, the aircraft and mode chosen, the levels and achievements reached, and items bought with in-game credits.
  • Diagnostics and usage: Apple provides us with anonymous crash reports and aggregate usage statistics through App Store Connect. This data cannot be linked to your identity and sharing can be turned off in iOS settings.
  • Support correspondence: When you email us, your name, email address and message are processed solely to answer your request.
  • No payment data: Because the apps are free and contain no in-app purchases, no payment information is processed at all.

We do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), do not share data with third-party ad networks and do not track you across other companies' apps and websites. Our apps contain no advertising SDKs; analytics is used only in the anonymous form described above.

3. How we use data

  • To provide the core functionality of the app
  • To detect bugs and improve stability
  • To respond to your support requests
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-party services

Third-party services used in our apps, together with their own privacy policies:

  • Apple iCloud / CloudKit — apple.com/legal/privacy
  • Apple Game Center (rTacTix and rOld Pilot — online matches, leaderboards, achievements)
  • Google Analytics for Firebase, Google LLC (all apps — anonymous usage statistics) — policies.google.com/privacy
  • Apple App Store Connect (anonymous crash reports and aggregate statistics)
  • Apple EventKit (rNote calendar integration — operates on device only)

Beyond these, no third-party service, SDK or server is used.

5. Retention and deletion

Data on your device (notes, reminders, game progress and tokens) is kept until you delete the app; deleting it removes them. Data in iCloud remains under your Apple Account and can be removed under Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage. Anonymous usage statistics are held in Google Analytics, not linked to your identity. Apart from that, the only data we hold is support correspondence, retained for a maximum of 24 months.

Anonymous usage statistics are kept by the analytics service for up to 14 months and are then deleted or aggregated.

Ways to delete your data:

  • rOld Pilot: Settings › “Reset everything” erases your progress on the device, the copy in iCloud and your Game Center achievements for the game. If you also play on other devices, do the same on each of them; otherwise a device that was not reset can upload its save to iCloud again.
  • rTacTix: Settings › “Delete all progress” erases your progress on the device, the copy in iCloud and your Game Center achievements for the game.
  • Scores on Game Center leaderboards cannot be deleted from inside a game; they are held by Apple.
  • Because usage statistics are not linked to your identity, we cannot look up and delete one person's records; you may still contact us with any request.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR and Turkey's KVKK (Law No. 6698) you have the right to access your data, request its correction, deletion or restriction of processing, request data portability and object to processing. Send requests to [email protected]; we respond within 30 days.

7. Children's privacy

Our apps are not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If we become aware of such data, we delete it immediately.

8. Security

Data is protected by the iOS sandbox and encryption mechanisms. All network communication is encrypted with TLS. No method can guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. For material changes we update the "last updated" date on this page and, where appropriate, show an in-app notice.
